Welcome to the Bay of Plenty / Coromandel Region's YES Page!
I'm Ewan - your new regional co-ordinator for 2010, and I'm really looking forward to working with you all, to help you to achieve your team objectives this year!
Organisation is going to be the key to success - only ONE YES company can win the right to represent our region at Nationals in Wellington in November.........Which team/school is going to be the super-organised, super-energised company that lets the other regions from around the country know that
WE MEAN BUSINESS!!

Great to see you and your teachers along at the E-Day at the BOP Polytechnic on Saturday 6th March - we had some great speakers there - Allison Stewart, Liz Muller, Hamish Carnie, and Anne Pankhurst. Fantastic Speed mentors included - Richard Dey, Lee Shepherd, and . big thanks from Young Enterprise Trust's representative at our E-Day - Janet Hunt - who thoroughly enjoyed her time in the 'sunniest main centre in NZ'!!
Fantastic sponsors were : Hosts Bay of Plenty Polytechnic - great venue!!; Brookfield New World - Awesome food for morning tea and lunch!; Brumbies - fresh baking plucked straight from the oven!; Office Max - brilliant stationery packs to use in Term 1 at school; and the Tauranga Chamber of Commerce - business contacts and networking to promote business in our region!
Apart from organisation ....communication is going to be a big part of teams scoring 40 out of 40 Regional Co-ordinator marks this year. The challenge set down at E-Day to all teams present was that all teams scoring 100% for regional marks will be presented with a 'Certificate in Organisational Excellence' at the Regional Awards in October for being a 'CAN DO' team.
Once I've heard back from all the teachers about 2010 school events, I'll be putting out the events calendar so you can plan ahead. In the meantime, check out Page 5 in your programme information handbook!
